DESCRIPTION:Join Us for a Historic Flag-Raising and Retirement Ceremony \nAs part of America’s 250th anniversary celebration\, we invite our beautiful mountain community to share in a special moment of unity and respect. We are gathering to formally retire the American flag that has proudly flown over our town for 15 years. In its place\, we will raise a brand-new 12 ft x 18 ft flag to honor our nation and those who serve. \n \nHere are the details for this shared community experience: \n\nWhen: Saturday\, May 23rd at 12:00 Noon (ceremony lasts roughly 30 minutes)\nWhere: The center of town at Idyllwild Park\nLed By: Members of the Idyllwild American Legion Post 800\nSponsors: Proudly sponsored by the Idyllwild Brewpub and the Butterfield family\n\nWe invite everyone in our community to attend and witness this solemn occasion. In the spirit of unity and service\, we will have an American Legion table set up at the event where you can receive a commemorative U.S. flag pin—along with the opportunity to purchase special flag pins featuring the 250th anniversary emblem\, available for a small donation to support the Legion. The pins have been generously donated by the Butterfield family. Let us stand together to honor our shared heritage and celebrate our local traditions. DESCRIPTION:Join us this Memorial Day weekend for an afternoon of good food\, great music\, and community at American Legion Post 800. \nOn Saturday\, May 23rd\, we invite our Idyllwild community and guests to gather with us from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 54360 Marion View Drive\, Idyllwild for a special barbecue celebration. \n \nFor $20 per person\, enjoy a hearty meal of: \n\nPork ribs\nBaked beans\nColeslaw\n\nWe are also proud to welcome Idyllwild’s own Stereo Purrs as our special musical guest. The band will perform from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.\, and the music is free for everyone to enjoy. \nAs many locals know\, Stereo Purrs brings the kind of hometown sound that gets the whole community smiling and staying awhile. \nCome share a meal\, enjoy live local music\, and spend part of your holiday weekend in fellowship and support of our community.
