Pet and Service Dog Policy

Outdoor Pet Areas
We welcome pets on our open-air property and deck, provided they are leashed and under the owner’s physical control.

Your Responsibilities
As a pet or service dog guardian, you are required to maintain direct control of your animal using a leash, harness, or tether at all times. You are also accountable for any property damage caused by your pet. Under California law, pet and service dog owners are liable for injuries resulting from dog bites. Additionally, it is your duty to clean up after your animal in both public and private spaces.

Behavioral Expectations
Pets and service dogs must not be disruptive. Animals that are not under control, engage in fights with other pets, or bark excessively will be asked to leave the property immediately.

Failure to adhere to these rules may result in disciplinary action, including suspension of Post privileges.

Service Dogs
Trained service dogs are granted access to Post 800 facilities due to their owner’s disability. These dogs must have completed training by a recognized service dog organization.

Community Commitment
This policy has been approved and adopted by the Post 800 Board of Directors and was voted on at the General Meeting on June 7, 2014. Your cooperation ensures a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
