Join the Fight to Save Lives: Free Online Training on Veteran Suicide Prevention
The American Legion, in partnership with Columbia University, is offering a powerful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our fellow veterans. Through the “Be the One” initiative, free online training sessions are being held to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to identify risk factors and behaviors associated with veteran suicide. These sessions are designed to empower us to take action and support those who may be silently suffering.
Upcoming Sessions:
- July 18th
- July 24th
- July 29th
Each session is approximately 90 minutes long and will be conducted online, making it accessible to everyone. This training is not just an educational opportunity—it’s a call to action. By participating, you’ll learn how to recognize the signs of distress, understand the risk factors, and take meaningful steps to intervene and provide support.
As members of American Legion Post 800, we have a unique bond with our fellow veterans. This training is a chance to strengthen that bond and ensure that no one in our community feels alone in their struggles. Together, we can be the ones to make a difference.
How to Register:
